Where did Santa go

Another cold day with an easterly wind, although only a light breeze at the moment. Last night I was in the garden looking at stars on a freeezing night then it clouded over, thinking it would get a little milder later and checking the mini weather station i have set up, it stayed below freezing all night. There has been frost on the ground for the last few days but having changed the bird bath water which was solid ice only yesterday it still has not froze over so the cold is wind chill factor (mostly)

At least we have it dry so far, snow would be nice but we will have to see what comes in the next few weeks, nice and warm in the house but open the kitchen door and the cold air soon replaces the nice warm kitchen.

Where did Christmas go, looked forward to it for months then it was over! did i blink or loose a few days? dont drink so cant blame that, maybe it's because everyone I see has the flu and run down with germs and I can feel a cold is on the horizon.

It's been a long time

What with one thing and another I have fell behind with this, sorry folks but my time just dont stretch as much as I would like it to so will be updating here as often as I can but not every day.

Weekend weather

What a fantastic weekend, the weather is very autumnal & just my kind of weather, loving it.

missed a few days

Sunday evening and just picking to rain, after a wonderful Saturday and Sunday the sky started to change to cloud just after midday, oh well we cant have it good all the time.

Another wet weekend

Saturday evening and it's already dark at 08:30pm so our summer has come to an end and went out with a bang, days of rain only stopping for the odd hour and causing much flooding in the area. we were ok they built our house when people used their heads and planned for the future unlike these days when they build on any available patch of ground even if it is liable to flooding. GREED!! and makes one wonder how plans get passed? more greed.

weather forecast so far

A very wet day here in wales and most of the Uk, forecast is not looking good for the next few days so it looks like it will continue wet for at least the weekend, this makes the nights drawn in quicker and last night was dark by 20:30 (half past eight for us oldies) plenty of rivers rising to danger level but ours looks ok with a few feet to go before it's over the top.

The birds are finding it hard looking for food, not that there is a shortage but because they are waterlogged, even the ducks are fed up.
